Job Opportunity for Enhanced Consumer Protection in Electricity and Gas

The regulation authority has conducted a comprehensive review of additional measures for household electricity & gas consumers.

Rising levels of arrears and increased customer interactions with non-governmental organizations have led to the decision to maintain existing measures, with key adjustments:

  • Debt recovery ratios on prepayment meters will increase from 10% to 15% of a customer's consumption.
  • Suppliers must engage with indebted customers who may benefit from repayment plans, addressing past difficulties in completion.

These enhanced measures supplement existing requirements in the Gas & Electricity Suppliers' Handbook.

This role involves collaborating with suppliers to implement these measures, ensuring compliance and delivering positive outcomes for consumers.
