Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and ambitious Events Coordinator to join our team at a prestigious estate in Monaghan. This is a pivotal role, ideal for a highly organised professional with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences in a luxury hospitality setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all wedding and event enquiries, providing timely and informative responses
  • Conduct property showarounds and consultations with prospective clients and couples, showcasing our luxurious facilities and services
  • Manage all event bookings from initial enquiry through to successful delivery, ensuring seamless communication and handovers to the operations team
  • Prepare and distribute detailed function sheets for all relevant departments, outlining essential details and specifications
  • Ensure smooth communication and collaboration with the operations team, guaranteeing a high level of client satisfaction
  • Work towards and exceed wedding and event sales targets, driving revenue growth and business development
  • Represent the hotel with professionalism and warmth throughout the client journey, embodying our brand values and reputation
  • Conduct post-event follow-ups to gather feedback and ensure client satisfaction, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of event facilities, packages, and pricing, staying ahead of industry trends and competitor activity
  • Attend management meetings and contribute to the overall success of the events department, sharing insights and expertise to drive business growth and excellence

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a 4 or 5-star hotel, demonstrating a track record of success and achievement
  • Strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and exceeding expectations
  • Professional, confident, and welcoming, with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and building strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and teams
  • Proficiency in Opera/Hotsoft or similar hotel systems, with a solid understanding of industry software and technology
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with the wider team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible, proactive, and solutions-focused approach, with a can-do attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond to deliver outstanding results
