About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as a Telecoms Civils Manager. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality telecoms civils works across various projects.

Job Description:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telecoms Civils Manager to lead our teams and ensure that all civils works are delivered safely, on time, and to quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecoms civils works, with expertise in project management and team leadership. They will be responsible for coordinating civil works across multiple projects, ensuring that they meet client expectations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Report directly to the Project Manager and ensure that civils works are delivered safely, on time, and to quality standards.
  • Supervise multiple sites simultaneously.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including Local Authorities and Community Bodies.
  • Conduct inspections and audits for safety, specifications, and legislative compliance.
  • Lead and manage an effective team, ensuring resource utilization.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of employees and contractors.
  • Identify areas for improvement and drive resolutions.
  • Issue daily site reports to clients and management.
  • Sign-off on completed works ensuring standards are met.
  • Ensure workflow tools like ArcGIS are properly updated.
  • Provide accurate site measurements of completed works.
  • Ensure sites align with the program agreed with the client and the company.
  • Train and mentor team members.
  • Adhere to client SOP & HSEQ requirements.
  • Work out of hours/weekends as required by project schedules.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong track record in telecoms civils works, with expertise in project management and team leadership. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years in a similar role.
  • Previous experience in telecom civils works.
  • Expertise in telecoms civils to purple book standards.
  • Road Opening & Reinstatement Advanced certification and experience with MRL system are advantageous.
  • Experience supervising internal teams and subcontractors.
  • Qualifications such as Safe Pass, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheel, 360, SLG, LUGS, First Aid, Power works are desirable.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain high standards.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Good interpersonal skills and team orientation.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Experience with tablets/phones and ARCGIS is beneficial.
  • Experience working on live power networks is advantageous.
  • A degree in civil engineering is advantageous.
