This is an exciting opportunity to take on a senior leadership position in finance, driving high performance and output in a collaborative environment.
- Manage and develop the finance department to deliver consistently high results.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate, timely, and insightful management accounts, statutory accounts, and financial reports for senior stakeholders.
- Support the Credit Manager to ensure strong cash collections and robust cash flow forecasting.
- Play a key role in the budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes, ensuring alignment with the company's growth objectives.
- Ensure adherence to all tax, audit, and statutory obligations, liaising with external auditors and advisors.
- Identify and implement enhancements to financial systems, controls, and reporting to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
- Recognised professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Several years' post-qualification industrial experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial services setting.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong experience with accounting systems.
- Salesforce experience is highly beneficial.
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and present at senior and board level.
- Strong knowledge of the regulatory environment, tax compliance, and audit processes.
- A commercially aware finance professional who understands the bigger business picture.
- Currently a No. 2 in a larger company or a No. 1 in a smaller business ready to step up to a more senior role.
- Confident, assertive, and influential—able to challenge constructively and work collaboratively across departments.
- Brings a broad skill set beyond core finance, with the ability to contribute to operational decision-making.
