Job Description

Coffeeangel seeks a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join their team. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for running the shop and contributing to its growth and success.

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve high standards. You will work closely with the Area Manager, Operations Manager, and Training and Quality Control Manager to ensure that the shop is running smoothly and efficiently.

As an Assistant Manager, you will be accountable for:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the shop, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard and that the shop is run in a efficient and courteous manner;
  • Leading by example and motivating the team to provide exceptional customer service and to maintain high standards of quality and cleanliness;
  • Managing stock levels and ordering supplies as needed;
  • Coordinating staff rotas and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage at all times;
  • Monitoring sales performance and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement;
  • Providing feedback and coaching to team members to help them develop their skills and knowledge;
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports as required;
  • Supporting the Area Manager in implementing new initiatives and policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 1 year's experience in a management or supervisory role in a coffee shop or similar environment;
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances;
  • Highly developed problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box;
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide a positive and welcoming experience for customers;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software packages;
  • Valid driving license (desirable).
