Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Cost Manager to join our team. As a key member of our cost consultancy and project support group, you will provide expert-level advice on construction projects across various stages and sectors.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver Estimates: Prepare and review cost estimates across all stages of design and construction, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Procurement Advice: Provide expert guidance on procurement strategies, contractor tender analysis, and recommendation reports to ensure best value for clients.
  • Client Account Management: Lead and manage client accounts, including attending key meetings and providing strategic input to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Contract Administration: Review contracts, participate in contract negotiations, and evaluate change orders and contractor pricing throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Cost Management Services: Deliver continuous cost management services, including value engineering and cashflow forecasting, to optimize project costs and enhance client satisfaction.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and develop junior cost consultants and commercial managers within the team, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and excellence.

About You

  • Expertise: Proven experience as a Cost Manager in the construction industry, with a strong background in cost consultancy and project support.
  • Skill Set: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and prepare actionable recommendations.
  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide junior staff members and contribute to a positive team culture.
