About the Role:Enablement of service-users through various programs is key to success in this role.
The ideal candidate will have a relevant third-level qualification in social care, education, community development, or training, as well as minimum three years' experience supporting adults with an intellectual disability or similar field.
Key responsibilities include facilitating and supporting service-users, identifying opportunities for building people's natural support networks, and using alternative communication aids and assistive technology.
- Relevant third-level qualification in social care, education, community development, or training (QQI Level 6 or higher)
- Minimum three years' experience supporting adults with an intellectual disability or similar field
- Experience in person-centered planning, capacity building, social inclusion, positive behavior supports, community development, advocacy, and empowerment
Excellent communication, teamwork, interpersonal, and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and be flexible.
A full clean driving license and use of own vehicle are also required.
