Catering Assistant Opportunity

Are you a motivated and reliable individual looking to build experience in the catering industry? We are currently seeking a Catering Assistant to join our team in County Clare, working primarily in Shannon, Ennis and Tulla. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience across various catering environments including hotels, restaurants, healthcare facilities and corporate settings.

This role would be ideal for candidates who are enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced environment and enjoy flexible working hours. As a Catering Assistant, your responsibilities will include assisting with food preparation, serving meals and beverages, maintaining kitchen cleanliness and supporting chefs and kitchen teams.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with basic food preparation while maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety.
  • Serve meals and beverages in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Keep kitchen, dining and service areas clean and orderly.
  • Replenish food stations and ensure serving areas are well-stocked.
  • Support chefs and kitchen teams with day-to-day tasks.
  • Engage positively with customers and handle basic queries.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have previous experience in a catering, food service or hospitality setting. You should also hold Food Safety and Manual Handling certificates (training can be provided). A strong work ethic, good communication and time management skills are essential.
