The ideal candidate for this role will possess exceptional culinary skills, strong leadership abilities, and a keen eye for detail. The successful applicant will support the Chef Manager/Catering Manager in leading and managing the entire kitchen brigade, ensuring consistently high standards of food delivery and kitchen management across all sections of the business onsite.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain impeccable food hygiene, presentation, and service standards in accordance with HACCP and Health & Safety Legislation.
  • Collaborate with the Chef Manager/Catering Manager to develop and implement menu planning and costings strategies that achieve desired Gross Profit Margins.
  • Accommodate food orders while adhering to company purchasing policies and using only suppliers from approved lists.
  • Familiarize yourself with all relevant company policies and procedures and implement them daily to guarantee Food Safety and Hygiene in the kitchen and associated areas.
  • Ensure daily implementation of Food Safety/Quality records within the kitchen and related areas.
  • Maintain a spotless environment in premises and self.
  • Oversee team performance to deliver top-quality food for clients.
  • Share responsibility with the Chef Manager/Catering Manager for checking, probing, and verifying all food deliveries to ensure the highest standards of produce are accepted.
  • Verify that food presentation is innovative and at the required temperature, with temperatures recorded on charts.
  • Assist with conducting stock takes as necessary.
  • Review the kitchen hazard list weekly with the Chef Manager/Catering Manager.
  • Maintain excellent communication and working relationships with clients, customers, and staff.
  • Clean and maintain personal hygiene, completing assigned daily and weekly cleaning duties to standard.
  • Perform any reasonable task assisting with the service, food preparation, hygiene, and other matters pertaining to kitchen efficiency.
