Electro-Mechanical Assembly Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional to support the expansion of a Galway-based water treatment solutions company. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient production, high-quality output, and a strong culture of continuous improvement.

About the Role:

  • To design and improve manufacturing processes for electro-mechanical assemblies to maximise efficiency, quality, and scalability.
  • Develop standard operating procedures for consistent and safe production.
  • Manage and mentor production teams while promoting accountability and ongoing development.
  • Establish and oversee production schedules and staffing plans to meet delivery and quality targets.
  • Lead lean manufacturing efforts to reduce waste and improve workflow.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure smooth production and delivery.
  • Oversee equipment, inventory, and material planning to support production needs.
  • Identify and execute opportunities for operational efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Maintain manufacturing operations that adhere to all health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Play a key role in scaling up operations, including facility layout planning and recruitment of mechanical and electrical assembly teams.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field.
  • 5+ years in a manufacturing management role, ideally within electro-mechanical or custom-built industrial equipment environments.
  • Practical experience applying lean principles and 5S methodology.
  • Background in metal fabrication is advantageous.
  • Skilled in developing and implementing efficient manufacturing processes and SOPs.
  • Able to lead, coach, and build effective production teams.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Systems Proficiency: Experienced with production planning and resource management tools.
