Project Cost Control Specialist

We seek a commercially driven cost control specialist to deliver industrial, commercial, and public sector projects across the UK.

The ideal candidate will have strong commercial instincts, initiative, and a proven track record in cost control, forecasting, and reporting. They will take full commercial responsibility for projects from pre-contract through to final account, working closely with project managers to ensure every pound is tracked, every risk is managed, and every opportunity to add value is seized.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively manage project finances to ensure client satisfaction while maximising profitability.
  • Accurately and promptly value and report all billable works to maintain positive cash flow.
  • Regularly visit site to measure and assess work progress, ensuring that payment certificates are issued promptly in line with contract terms.
  • Continuously monitor current and anticipated spending, identifying and implementing cost-effective alternatives to maximise profitability.
  • Ensure all contractual obligations are met by understanding key contract terms, managing variations fairly, and keeping records to demonstrate compliance.
