Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Project Financial Manager.

As a key member of the project management team, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of projects from pre-contract through to final account. This includes ensuring every pound is tracked, every risk is managed, and every opportunity to add value is seized.

You will work closely with our project managers to deliver industrial, commercial, and public sector projects across the UK. Our approach is hands-on and solutions-focused, prioritizing people and performance at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively manage the project's finances to ensure client satisfaction while maximizing profitability.
  • Accurately and promptly value and report all billable works to maintain positive cash flow.
  • Regularly visit sites to measure and assess work progress, ensuring payment certificates are issued promptly in line with contract terms.
  • Continuously monitor current and anticipated spending, identifying and implementing cost-effective alternatives to maximize profitability.
  • Ensure all contractual obligations are met by understanding key contract terms, managing variations fairly, and maintaining records to demonstrate compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will require strong financial management skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. You should also have experience in project financial management, preferably in the construction industry.
