Our client, a leader in the aviation industry, is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team. This is a six-month fixed-term contract.

Job Description

This role involves hands-on experience across various finance functions, including accounts payable, payroll support, reconciliations, fixed asset management, and cycle counting.

You will gain valuable skills while working with one of the world's most respected names in aviation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Matching invoices to purchase orders received by stores
  • Processing manual invoices not receipted into the system
  • Reconciling creditors' ledgers every month-end, including outstanding receipts and accrual lists
  • Dealing with general queries and liaising with purchasing teams
  • Backing up monthly payments runs
  • Ensuring adherence to internal control procedures
  • Backing up duty travel reviews and payments
  • Reconciling petty cash on a monthly basis
  • Payroll (backup) preparation of weekly payroll for approximately 200 employees
  • Handling payroll queries from employees
