About the Position:
We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Specialist to join our leading Sustainability team.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on climate and sustainability projects for public and private sector clients, developing climate and sustainability solutions which make a real difference for climate action, resource efficiency, and biodiversity protection.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting greenhouse gas emissions inventories, including scope 1, 2, and 3; whole-life cycle assessments;
- Developing project and organisational carbon/sustainability strategies for clients, including Net Zero Carbon roadmaps and Science Based Target setting;
- Providing advice on low-carbon renewable energy technologies within the built environment sector;
- Leading sustainability workshops on design and non-design projects;
- Integrating with multi-disciplinary teams across the organisation, providing sustainability advice and guidance.
Requirements:
An honours degree (level 8 in the National Framework of Qualifications), or equivalent professional qualification in engineering or science, and membership of an appropriate professional body is required. Experience in working with engineering teams to develop low-carbon design options is also necessary, as well as excellent knowledge of relevant Irish and European climate, energy, and environmental policy and legislation.
