Design Manager Job

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Design Manager to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multi-disciplined design-build teams to deliver projects to agreed targets, such as programme, budget, and quality.

This role requires identifying and agreeing project objectives with the Project Director and developing a strategy for achieving these.

As a Design Manager, you will actively manage the project technically and financially in accordance with corporate and business policies, directives, guidance, and procedures.

Leading the project team involves building, motivating, maintaining, coaching, guiding, and developing the team. Facilitating communication, co-ordination, and information flow with the Client and within the project team is also key to this role.

  • Relevant experience of DB design/project management is required.
  • A Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or related field is essential.
  • Chartered Engineer or equivalent with experience managing design commissions on large infrastructure projects is necessary.
  • Experience in a design consultancy office managing design teams is also required.
