Job Title: Conference and Banqueting Manager

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Conference and Banqueting Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily execution of all banquet functions, ensuring outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge and passion for food, beverage and banqueting, guest care and hospitality. They will also possess excellent communication and team leadership skills, with the ability to manage all cost controls and staff training.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the setup and breakdown of function rooms, including linens, silver, glassware and chinaware according to event specifications.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve team member performance, providing supervision, rostering, evaluations and recognition.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar F&B function.
  • Strong ability to manage cost controls, labour, stock control and ordering.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to handle pressurised situations.
  • Flexible, innovative and driven individual with fluency in both written and spoken English.
