Job Opportunity:

A leading housing developer is seeking an experienced Construction Project Lead to oversee a large-scale residential development near Cork City.

This is a fantastic opportunity to manage a high-profile project, lead a dynamic construction team, and play a key role in delivering exceptional homes.

About the Role:

  • Oversight of Health & Safety on site, ensuring collective ownership by all stakeholders.
  • Control and management of plant on site, ensuring equipment is fit for purpose with necessary certification.
  • Promotion of a strong safety culture, proactive resolution of potential threats, and escalation of serious issues to Senior Management.
  • Selection and appointment of site supervisory roles specific to the project.
  • Clear communication of the Project Execution Plan and updates to all stakeholders.
  • Management of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Review of design documents and active participation in design team meetings.
  • Management of the construction team, delegation of responsibilities, and coordination of works.
  • Development of short-term programs and reporting of weekly progress against target program.
  • Ensure all works comply with Building Regulations, design specifications, and applicable standards.
  • Management of direct reports on site, including performance management, development plans, and absence management.
  • Support for continuous professional development for yourself and your team.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree/Higher Diploma in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years post-qualification experience in large-scale residential construction.
  • Excellent knowledge of current building regulations and certification standards.
