Financial Administrator Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Financial Administrator to join our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, liaising with suppliers, sub-contractors, banks, and Revenue, and ensuring all revenue requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable by processing invoices, paying bills on time, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Liaise with suppliers, sub-contractors, banks, and Revenue to ensure timely payments and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Ensure all revenue requirements are met, including RCT/VAT/PAYE returns, by accurately calculating and filing tax returns.
  • Work with the Shared Services Accountant on Management Accounts and year-end audit reporting deadlines to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Provide administrative support as required by the business, such as preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and performing other tasks as needed.
Requirements:
  • A relevant professional qualification, such as IATI or ACCA, or equivalent experience in financial administration.
  • Good working knowledge of Irish Revenue systems (ROS) and ability to use financial software packages, such as AccountsIQ and Sage.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures, including financial regulations and standards.
  • A good understanding of basic accounting and billing processes, including invoicing, credit control, and cash management.
  • Highly motivated and able to work on own initiative and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 2017 (Word & Excel) and accountancy packages.
