Financial Administrator/Accounts Assistant Role

We are seeking an experienced Key Financial Support Specialist to provide essential support to our financial management team.

About the Role

This key role will involve providing expert administrative support for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions. You will be working closely with our Managing Director and Financial Accountant to ensure all financial requirements are met effectively.

You will be responsible for:

  • Processing and managing accounts payable and accounts receivable efficiently
  • Liaising with suppliers, banks, and relevant authorities to meet all financial obligations
  • Preparing returns and year-end audit reporting deadlines in collaboration with the Shared Services Accountant
  • Providing ad-hoc administrative support as required by the business
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant professional qualification (IATI/ACCA) or equivalent experience
  • A good working knowledge of Irish Revenue systems (ROS)
  • Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles and procedures
  • A basic understanding of accounting and billing processes
  • Motivation to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 2017 (Word & Excel) and accountancy packages (i.e. AccountsIQ, Sage)
