Helpdesk Engineer

Description:

eir evo talent is currently seeking applicants for a Helpdesk Engineer. This is a long-term day rate contract.

This role is fully onsite in Dublin 1.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair desktop-related equipment and software (PCs, peripherals, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones, scanners, workstation on wheels, standard/nonstandard local software including but not limited to MS Office, MS Outlook, Visio, Adobe).
  • Engage and coordinate with hardware and software vendors to repair/support technology components in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to Asset management processes to ensure accurate recording of company resources from receipt to configuration and delivery, including Asset Disposal policy compliance.
  • Improve ticket queue management by reviewing and enhancing processes to meet SLAs, improve documentation, and increase resolution rates and times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager from time to time, as reasonably required.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, information systems, or equivalent work experience within an IT function.
  • Knowledge and troubleshooting skills for Windows 10 OS and 365.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interface effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel at all levels.
  • Ability to react to changing situations with urgency and ownership.
  • Must be able to:
    • Follow documented procedures.
    • Work independently and in a team.
    • Complete duties efficiently.
  • Ability to make clear, concise, data-backed decisions and willingness to experiment with new equipment and ideas.
  • Strong team player with a focus on customer service.
  • Natural problem solver who enjoys improving processes.
  • Flexible and able to manage multiple priorities within tight timeframes.

  • Candidates must be eligible to work full-time long-term in the specified location or hold a valid long-term work visa.
