Job Title: Junior Civil/Structural Engineer

About the Role:
  We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Civil/Structural Engineer to join our busy civil and building design consultancy company in Galway. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for drafting and creating designs, developing design concepts, and performing structural design calculations.

Responsibilities:
  - Draft and create detailed technical designs and drawings using AutoCAD/Revit software.
  - Develop design concepts and perform structural design calculations using Robot, Staad PRO-QSE, or similar software.
  - Collaborate with engineers and architects when preparing designs and drawings.
  - Accurately calculate dimensions and allowances for various projects.
  - Revise drawings and layouts to incorporate changes and improvements as needed.
  - Liaise with external consultants and clients to ensure project completion on time and within budget.
  - Periodically visit sites to take measurements and ensure compliance with current Irish Building Regulations.

Requirements:
  - Level 8 degree in civil or structural engineering from a recognized institution.
  - 2-5 years of experience in an engineering design office (or a similar environment).
  - Strong working knowledge of current Irish Building Regulations and British and Eurocode Design Standards for Concrete, Steel, Masonry, and Timber.
  - Proficient in using AutoCAD/Revit software with the capability to prepare detailed technical designs and drawings to a high standard.
  - Essential knowledge of Robot, Staad PRO-QSE, or similar software.
  - Excellent written and verbal communication skills (fluent in English).
  - Self-motivated with keen attention to detail and the ability to research topics thoroughly.
