About the Role

The Global Commercial Operations Specialist will play a critical role in driving commercial and operational performance across our global footprint.

Reporting to the Divisional Finance Director, the key purpose of the role is to support local leadership teams by providing financial insight, strategic analysis, and commercial guidance.

A critical aspect of the role will be to lead post-acquisition finance integration and support global strategic projects, ensuring that new businesses align with group policies, systems, and performance expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the finance transition process for newly acquired entities, including onboarding, integration of systems and processes, implementation of financial controls and compliance frameworks, and alignment to group reporting standards.
  • Support and/or lead the finance element of global projects across business transformation initiatives, finance process standardisation, change management, and performance improvement programmes.
  • Partner with functional business leaders to drive financial performance and support strategic initiatives across commercial and manufacturing operations.
  • Deliver timely, insightful analysis to support decision-making around pricing, margin optimisation, cost control, and investment planning.
  • Monitor and challenge business performance through monthly reporting and KPIs and drive continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy, business insight, and financial transparency.
  • Continuously assess and analyse margin performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance profitability while maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity in the quoting process by collaborating with relevant departments to validate cost inputs, analyse pricing strategies, and assess profitability.
  • Support the development of financial and supply chain forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans by providing insights, analysis, and recommendations based on thorough financial analysis.
  • Preparation of reports (e.g. financial and inventory analysis, forecasting, metrics, and dashboards) to support the organisation in the financial planning and month end process.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Analytical and commercial mindset with ability to translate data into strategic insight. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence and build relationships across geographies.
