Chief Physicist Role Overview

Our Diagnostic Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Non-ionising Radiation services are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to lead our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and contributing to a large service covering the Cork-Kerry region in Ireland.

We are looking for someone with excellent leadership skills, who can meet the challenges presented by managing a diverse team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical physics and a passion for innovation and improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a large service covering diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine, and non-ionising radiation.
  • Lead a diverse team of professionals and ensure they have the necessary resources and support to perform their duties.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.

Requirements:

  • Master's or PhD in Medical Physics or related field.
  • Proven experience in leading teams and managing large-scale projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
