An Advanced Healthcare Professional at Mercy University Hospital Cork will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and leading a team of healthcare professionals. They must provide holistic health assessments using evidence-based frameworks to determine diagnoses and inform autonomous advanced nursing care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments to identify patient needs and develop treatment plans.
- Provide leadership in the translation of new knowledge to clinical practice and educate others on best practices.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team through sharing information in accordance with legal, professional, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate leadership in professional practice by promoting quality care and providing opportunities for staff development.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and engage in ongoing professional development.
Eligibility Criteria:
- To be eligible for this role, applicants must have a broad base of clinical experience relevant to the advanced field of practice.
- Must demonstrate the competences relevant to the specialist area of advanced practice and be registered in the appropriate division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland Register.
