About the Role
The Person in Charge is a critical role within our organization, responsible for providing high-quality support to service users. The position requires autonomy and initiative to ensure alignment with government policies and health executive standards.
Purpose of the RoleThis leader will be responsible for managing existing services, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. They will also take the lead on shift when on duty and participate in direct care to individuals, following established care plans and protocols.
Responsibilities- Manage existing services, ensuring compliance with Department of Health Regulations and HIQA Standards.
- Lead on shift when on duty, supervising staff and ensuring smooth operations.
- Participate in direct care to individuals, following established care plans and protocols.
- Assess the needs of individuals under care, developing individualized care plans.
- Implement appropriate care interventions, monitoring progress and outcomes.
- Orient new care team members, equipping them with necessary knowledge and skills.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of care plans, assessments, and records.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance overall care services.
This role requires flexibility in working hours, primarily to ensure safety and well-being of service users and staff. The post holder is required to lead and participate in an on-call support system.
