About the Role
">As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and managing local and wide area networks to ensure maximum uptime for users.
">A strong understanding of networking technologies, hands-on experience, and problem-solving skills are required for this role.
">You will oversee the work performed and manage the operational aspects of managed service provider relationships.
">The network consists of 80 locations including manufacturing facilities, data centers, office and retail locations.
">Main Responsibilities
">- Work closely with network and security managed service providers to plan and execute the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of network equipment including switches, routers, and firewalls">
- Implement security policies and controls as defined by our security team">
- Maintain effective network services by evaluating and resolving network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency">
- Maintain the network, considering redundancy, diversity, failover technologies, upgrades, and expandability">
- Optimize the network through monitoring performance, and collaborating with network architects on design">
- Review SLAs and overall performance of the network managed service providers">
- Serve as technical specialist in network problems and emergencies">
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of network configurations and setups">
- Ensure the network complies with security standards and industry regulations, and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans as needed">
- Work collaboratively with other IT teams and stakeholders to support new initiatives and projects">
- Contribute to strategy development for Central IT Infrastructure">
Required Skills and Qualifications
">- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field">
- 5+ years of experience in IT Network Support">
- Expert knowledge of network technologies and their application across WAN, LAN, Wireless, Voice, and Network Security">
- Experience in configuration, implementation, and support of enterprise or manufacturing networks with diverse solutions from multiple vendors">
- Experience with WAN and LAN design, IP networking, firewalls, switching, routing, wireless, and remote access technologies">
- Preferably industry-recognized certifications">
- Ability to manage relationships with internal customers">
- Proven experience working with managed service providers in managing Enterprise Networks">
- Strong verbal and written communication skills">
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills">
- Strong team player with a growth mindset">
