As a leading telecommunications company, we are seeking an experienced legal professional to join our team as a General Counsel.

Job Description

The successful candidate will provide expert legal and regulatory advice, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and mitigating key legal risks. They will also direct the development and implementation of our compliance strategy, overseeing critical legal activities across all functions.

  • Develop and deliver strategies related to Legal and Regulatory Compliance.
  • Oversee critical legal activities including commercial negotiations and contracts, IP, litigation, strategic alliances, and partnerships.
  • Direct the development and implementation of our compliance strategy.
  • Develop and implement our overall regulatory strategy, ensuring alignment with business aims.

The role requires strong leadership skills, commercial acumen, and a deep understanding of the laws, regulations, and policies governing the telecoms sector. The successful candidate will have experience working closely with executive-level stakeholders and expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience as a senior legal/regulatory advisor for a large telecommunications or technology company.
  • Significant experience working closely with executive level stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the laws, regulations, and policies governing the telecoms sector.
  • Strong understanding of legal, regulatory, and operational risks facing telecoms companies.
  • Expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
