Payroll Specialist Role
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely end-to-end processing of the monthly payroll, including administering benefits for over 300 employees.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure accurate and timely processing of the monthly payroll, including calculations and submissions to Revenue Online Services (ROS).
- Administer third-party deductions, i.e., Pension, VHI, Social Welfare, BIK, LPT, and manage the payroll email inbox to deal with all payroll and benefit-related queries in a timely manner.
- Liaise with the Finance Department to ensure payroll accruals are accurate and up-to-date.
- Manage time and attendance systems, prepare and compile specialized payroll reports, and keep up-to-date with legislative changes that impact on payroll.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless payroll operations and maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment, taxation, and social welfare legislation.
- Develop and implement processes to improve payroll efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Payroll, Accounting, or related field.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a large organization with complex payroll requirements.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with payroll software.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
