Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Body Repair Specialist to join our team. As a Body Repair Specialist, you will be responsible for restoring and maintaining the integrity of vehicle bodies. You will work closely with our engineering department to ensure that all repairs meet high standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Remove and replace panels (bonded and non-bonded).
- Restore damaged panels through filling, sanding, feathering, masking, and painting to match original specifications.
- Repair or replace interior components, including seat frame assemblies, lighting, interior panels, flooring, etc.
- Repair or replace glass components, such as windscreens and windows – gasket and bonded.
- Repair vehicle body structure damage due to accidents, wear and tear, corrosion, etc.
- Diagnose and repair defects in all systems installed in vehicle bodywork, including doors, ramps, heating/demisting, ventilation, air conditioning, destination/numeral displays, wipers, driver's cab, equipment, lighting (internal and external), passenger information equipment, etc.
Requirements:
- National Craft Certificate for the trade of Vehicle Body Repairer awarded by SOLAS/Department of Education following successful completion of a recognized SOLAS apprenticeship – Or equivalent to this level 6 qualification, in the National Framework of Qualifications in Ireland.
- OR Advanced Certificate – Craft awarded by FETAC following successful completion of a recognized SOLAS apprenticeship - Or equivalent to this level 6 qualification, in the National Framework of Qualifications in Ireland.
- Driving Licence: A Valid, Clean Category B Irish Driving Licence held for a minimum of 2 years, with no endorsements. OR A Valid, Clean Full Category D Irish driving licence, with no endorsements.
