
Skilled Vehicle Body Repair Specialist

As a skilled Vehicle Body Repairer, you will be part of our team responsible for maintaining the condition and appearance of our fleet. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent technical skills and attention to detail to join our Engineering Department.
Job Description:
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that all vehicles are repaired and maintained to the highest standards, while also adhering to strict safety and environmental regulations. This involves removing and fitting panels, repairing body structure damage, and diagnosing and repairing defects in vehicle bodywork.
Key Responsibilities:
• Remove and fit panels (bonded and non-bonded)
• Repair panels including filling, sanding, feathering, masking and painting to match original
• Repair or replace interior components, i.e. seat frame assemblies, lighting, interior panels, flooring etc.
• Repair or replace glass components i.e. windscreens and windows – gasket and bonded
• Repair vehicle body structure damage due to accident, wear and tear, corrosion etc.
Requirements:
• National Craft Certificate for the trade of Vehicle Body Repairer awarded by SOLAS/Department of Education following the successful completion of a recognised SOLAS apprenticeship – Or equivalent to this level 6 qualification, in the National Framework of Qualifications in Ireland.
• OR
• Advanced Certificate – Craft awarded by FETAC following the successful completion of a recognised SOLAS apprenticeship - Or equivalent to this level 6 qualification, in the National Framework of Qualifications in Ireland.
• Driving Licence:
• A Valid, Clean Category B Irish Driving Licence - held for a minimum of 2 years, with no endorsements.
• OR
• A Valid, Clean Full Category D Irish driving licence, with no endorsements.
