Job Summary:We're seeking an experienced Vehicle Preparer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing vehicles for the painting process after they have been repaired by our skilled technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and repair vehicle bodies post-collision, ensuring they are thoroughly prepared for priming and painting.
- Apply primer to repaired surfaces, guaranteeing thorough coverage and proper preparation for painting.
- Sand, mask, and otherwise prepare vehicle surfaces to a fine finish.
- Apply seam sealer as required to ensure waterproofing and seamless repairs.
- Ensure that vehicles are clean, masked, and 'gun ready' for spray painters.
- Collaborate closely with technicians and spray painters to ensure smooth workflow and quality control.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Manage supplies and equipment related to the prepping process, including inventory tracking and reordering as necessary.
