Job Title: Vehicle Body Repairer

Are you skilled in the art of vehicle body repair? We are seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Vehicle Body Repairer.

This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a passion for delivering high-quality results. As a Vehicle Body Repairer, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining vehicle bodies to ensure they are safe and roadworthy.

Responsibilities:

  • Remove and fit panels (bonded and non-bonded)
  • Repair panels including filling, sanding, feathering, masking and painting to match original
  • Repair or replace interior components, i.e. seat frame assemblies, lighting, interior panels, flooring etc.
  • Repair or replace glass components i.e. windscreens and windows – gasket and bonded
  • Repair vehicle body structure damage due to accident, wear and tear, corrosion etc.
  • Diagnose and repair defects (body / electrical / mechanical) in all systems installed in vehicle bodywork including door, ramp, heating / demisting, ventilation, air conditioning, destination / numeral display, wipers, driver's cab and equipment, lighting (internal and external), passenger information equipment etc.

Requirements:

  • National Craft Certificate for the trade of Vehicle Body Repairer awarded by SOLAS/Department of Education following the successful completion of a recognised SOLAS apprenticeship – Or equivalent to this level 6 qualification, in the National Framework of Qualifications in Ireland.
  • OR
  • Advanced Certificate – Craft awarded by FETAC following the successful completion of a recognised SOLAS apprenticeship - Or equivalent to this level 6 qualification, in the National Framework of Qualifications in Ireland.
  • Driving Licence:
  • A Valid, Clean Category B Irish Driving Licence - held for a minimum of 2 years, with no endorsements.
  • OR
  • A Valid, Clean Full Category D Irish driving licence, with no endorsements.
  • Other requirements:
  • Over 21 (to comply with D licence regulation).
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
  • An NDLS Driver statement - You can request this document by phoning or emailing the National Driver Licence Service.
