Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Project Lead to lead and support commercial functions for projects. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in delivering complex projects, ideally within the transportation sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the commercial and contractual aspects of infrastructure and transportation projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and procedures. This will include providing commercial oversight across all stages of the project lifecycle, from feasibility through design and delivery.

The role will also involve managing project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting, as well as ensuring adherence to all health, safety, and welfare regulations. Additionally, the Senior Commercial Project Lead will support and mentor technical teams in applying civil engineering design principles, Eurocodes, and construction standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commercial and contractual aspects of infrastructure and transportation projects.
  • Provide commercial oversight across all stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and welfare regulations.
  • Support and mentor technical teams in applying civil engineering design principles.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, as well as Chartered Engineer (CEng) status and membership of a relevant professional institution. They will also have proven experience in the application of health, safety, and welfare regulations in an engineering context.

A strong background in the application of civil engineering and construction principles, with experience of project delivery in construction-related markets, is also essential. The candidate should have demonstrable experience working with contractors in a design and build environment, as well as an in-depth understanding of contract conditions and commercial procedures.
