Job Overview

This is a fixed-term role based in our Innovation Centre, focusing on the development of a groundbreaking medical device to address blood loss during medical procedures.

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer (R&D) to lead the design and development of a commercial product that will enhance patient care.

The successful candidate will collaborate with electronic and software engineers to create innovative solutions for this critical medical need.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Research, design, develop, modify, and verify components/modules for medical devices
  • Translate design inputs into engineering specifications and produce subsystem-level designs
  • Develop and analyze solutions, prototyping one or more options to provide proof of concept

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate expertise in customer needs and design inputs
  • Show proficiency with the product's intended use and clinical procedures
  • Leverage knowledge of financial models to inform design decisions

A Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or BioMedical, along with 4+ years of relevant experience, is required. A strong understanding of mechanical engineering practices and design principles is highly desirable.
