Project Manager Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a senior project manager to lead multiple construction projects in Cork.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing large-scale Irish construction projects from pre-construction to site delivery and handover.

  • Coordinate and review construction plans, specifications, and work requirements.
  • Work closely with design teams to plan new projects and create schedules.
  • Oversee projects through all stages of construction from tender submission to completion.
  • Report to and support the director.
  • Direct and manage personnel, site staff, and subcontractors, coordinating weekly progress meetings and workshops.
  • Ensure high-quality construction and coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and service coordinators to provide accurate information.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in construction management or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a contracts manager or senior project manager with a main contractor in Ireland.
  • Proven experience overseeing high-value projects from concept to completion.
  • Ability to effectively manage project timelines and associated schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Experience managing multiple subcontractors and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with design teams to deliver high-standard projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint, with excellent IT skills and visual presentation abilities.
