Job Title

Susquehanna is seeking a skilled professional to design and build high-performance infrastructure for trading platforms, working closely with network engineers and software developers to create scalable systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Automate and Evolve: Contribute to our library of home-grown tools, written primarily in Python and Bash, utilizing tools such as Jenkins to automate bare-metal and virtual server deployments, monitoring, and maintenance, allowing you to focus on performance-related issues and projects.
  • Optimize: Tune operating systems for performance and network stacks for bandwidth or latency. Dive deep on root-cause analysis of systems issues. Anything is fair game if there's impact.
  • Innovate and Build: Design and develop complex infrastructure solutions that meet the demands of high performance and scalability using cutting-edge hardware, including servers, network switches, and storage systems.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with Strategy Developers and Quantitative Researchers to understand business problems. Coordinate with network and storage teams to implement scalable solutions.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience building Linux-based platforms.
  • Familiarity with kernel-level and I/O subsystem tweaks and tools such as sysctl, strace, tcpdump, and netstat.
  • Recent hands-on experience with automation in Python or other tools.
