About the Role
Your new position as an Electrical Engineer plays a vital part in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for overseeing engineering activities on specific construction projects. Your tasks will vary and be agreed with the Project Manager on an ongoing basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Electrical design reviews are completed to identify potential issues.
  • Cable sizing is validated and recommendations are made as needed.
  • Timely completion of technical assessments is ensured, and any issues are resolved promptly.
  • Electrical technical submittals are compiled and issued.
  • Submittals are managed through the approvals process and procurement and delivery of electrical equipment are tracked.
  • Regular supply chain meetings are attended to monitor progress and ensure adherence to the overall construction programme.
  • Progress updates are recorded on system trackers aligned with the construction schedule.
  • Electrical installations are reviewed with the BIM team to ensure constructability and adequate space for installation and maintenance.
  • Liaison with the design team and supply chain is maintained to ensure correct operation of plant and successful handover.
  • An electrical system walk-down is conducted to ensure compliance with specifications and drawings.
  • Test packs, FTOPs, and O&Ms are compiled for approval.
  • Specialist vendors are managed during commissioning to ensure timely completion.
  • Client training is undertaken according to an agreed plan.

Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
  • Experience with both low-voltage (LV) and medium-voltage (MV) systems, primarily in building services and data centre environments.
  • A significant project engineering experience of 4 years+ with an electrical contractor.
  • A previous record of delivering small to medium electrical projects in commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, and data centre settings.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • The ability to walk down electrical systems to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Experience developing technical submittals, completing technical reviews, and assessments.
  • Familiarity with Health, Safety, and Environmental systems and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask.
  • An excellent record-keeping and administration skills.
  • Project planning and management expertise.
  • A process-driven approach with a focus on EHS and Quality Work Management Systems and Processes.
