This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market leader in the food retail and wholesale industry. My client is seeking an experienced Indirect Procurement Buyer to drive their procurement category strategies and manage instore packaging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute procurement category strategies, managing instore packaging and other categories as needed
- Analyse spend areas to identify sourcing initiatives and drive cost savings
- Input into annual budget preparation and provide data to finance teams across the business
- Lead negotiations with suppliers and manage the set of indirect procurement suppliers
- Improve and develop procurement processes and operational management requirements
Requirements for Success:
- 5 years of commercial experience preparing and leading high-value contract negotiations
- Preferably with an IT portfolio or similar
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with ability to work up to executive level
- Flexibility and resilience in a fast-paced environment
