Occupational Therapist in Acute Mental Health

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in an acute mental health setting. As a key member of the team, you will provide high-quality occupational therapy assessment and intervention to service users.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive OT assessments and evidence-based interventions to adults in an acute mental health setting.
  • Be responsible for managing own caseload and for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of treatment programmes for service users according to service standards.
  • Supervise and support staff, prioritising and allocating work and promoting positive staff morale and team working.
  • Contribute to ongoing development and improvement of the OT service within the approved centre.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy
  • CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience as an OT.
  • Previous experience in mental health desirable.
  • HSE mandatory training completed (or willingness to complete before starting)
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
