Risk And Compliance Leader

Job Description:

This role oversees the management of risk and compliance within an organization. It ensures adherence to regulatory requirements by leading a team and managing advisory compliance services.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the risk and compliance function and act as primary contact with regulatory authorities.
  • Manage advisory compliance services for investments, trading, and research teams.
  • Deliver appropriate compliance services to meet current and future business needs.
  • Recommend monitoring and surveillance improvements concerning asset management business activities.
  • Ensure findings are discussed with business managers and remedial action taken.
  • Identify and manage risks, designing controls and evidence of their effectiveness.
  • Assist in developing compliance policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and awareness activities for market-facing teams.
  • Establish a collaborative working relationship with key stakeholders.
  • Proactively provide advisory support on compliance matters.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • PCF12/14 approved role experience or eligibility.
  • Strong understanding of Central Bank of Ireland's regulatory framework.
  • Leadership skills and experience leading a compliance team.
  • Experience as lead advisor to investments and trading teams.
  • Knowledge of equity, fixed income instruments, and derivatives.
  • Subject matter expert in Asset Management products and associated risks.
  • Experience of ESG aligned investment activities.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks in Ireland, the EU, and the UK.
  • Teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
