Scientific Data Developer

The role of Scientific Data Developer is critical to the success of our organisation, as we seek to unlock the economic potential of Ireland's vast marine resource.

We are looking for an individual with a strong background in software development and data analysis, who can work collaboratively with our Information Services team to develop and maintain software solutions that support our operational teams.

  • Develop and maintain software solutions with a focus on data processes including scientific data processing and analysis, and information delivery to a range of stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups to ensure software development and support activities integrate well with our ICT infrastructure, standards and processes, and align with operational and strategic goals.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our teams to design and implement software solutions that meet the needs of our stakeholders. You will be responsible for developing, testing, and deploying software applications, as well as providing ongoing support and maintenance to ensure they continue to meet their intended purpose.

To be successful in this role, you will require a strong understanding of software development principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. You will also need to be able to think creatively and critically, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
