Job Title: Electricity Policy Specialist
Job Description:The Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU) seeks an Electricity Policy Specialist to support policy development and implementation related to electricity generation. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to ensure policies achieve their intended outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the development and implementation of policies related to electricity generation, including the pre-engagement and high-level technical assessment process.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including generators, system operators, and other interested parties, to ensure policies are effective and meet the needs of all parties involved.
- Analyze data and information to inform policy decisions and ensure they are based on sound analysis and evidence.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including generators, system operators, and other interested parties, to ensure policies are effectively implemented.
- Bachelor's degree: In a relevant field such as engineering, economics, or environmental science.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in a related field, preferably in a regulatory or policy role.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to analyze complex data and information.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Work Style: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong commitment to delivering results and meeting deadlines.
