Job Title: Event Management Director

About the Role:

The Event Management Director is responsible for driving business growth and delivering exceptional guest experiences through effective management of the Meetings and Events Department.

This senior role would suit a seasoned Event Manager or Meeting and Events Sales professional with a proven track record in leading high-performing teams through the full event cycle from initial enquiry to handover.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Drive revenue and conversion targets by leveraging sales and marketing strategies
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including reactive sales, event planning, proposals, contracting, and client interactions
  • Lead and develop the M&E team, assigning work, managing performance, and providing coaching and feedback
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by reviewing feedback and implementing proactive measures
  • Resolves issues proactively and completes forecasts, plans, and reports for management meetings
  • Develops monthly revenue and P&L reports and participates in annual departmental budget planning
  • Monitors budget, identifies opportunities for upselling, and drives business growth
  • Reviews the M&E business pipeline, fills gaps, and ensures proactive measures are taken to achieve set targets
  • Crafts creative strategies to drive business and upsell to clients
  • Leads recruitment and training of the M&E Team, promoting teamwork and delivery of consistent 5-star service

Key qualifications include at least two years' experience as a Senior Event Manager/Director of Meeting and Events with a proven history of success in leading large teams in high-volume environments.
