Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Match invoices to purchase orders received by stores
  • Process manual invoices not receipted into the system
  • Reconcile monthly supplier statements with accounts payable ledger
  • Resolve discrepancies with supplier statements
  • Deal with general queries and liaise with Purchasing on invoice issues
  • Prepare and process weekly/monthly payments runs
  • Ensure adherence to internal control procedures
  • Oversee and pay duty travel expenses
  • Process and audit weekly stock cycle counts and report any spikes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role and environment
  • Accountancy qualification (AAT) advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong computer literacy and system understanding
  • Good organisational and administrative skills
  • Ideal candidate will have knowledge of payroll
  • High attention to detail with ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Highly motivated individual able to work independently
  • Able to engage in teamwork and prioritise workload effectively
