Accounts Assistant Opportunity

This is an exciting chance to play a key role in the finance team of a dynamic organisation, located in Belfast. You will be responsible for preparing statutory returns and supporting the day-to-day financial operations.

  • You will report to the Finance Manager and assist with the daily activities of the finance team.
  • Prepare and submit monthly CIS and RCT Returns, as well as VAT returns for review by the Finance Manager.
  • Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations, process sundry payments and receipts, and ensure invoices are accurately coded and posted to the ledger.
  • Reconcile supplier statements, prepare weekly payment runs, post month-end overhead accruals, and respond to supplier queries in a timely manner.
  • Attend weekly finance meetings and support other ad hoc finance duties as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience in an accounts role.
  • Strong knowledge of reconciliations, VAT, CIS, and/or RCT.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key areas include Accounts Payable, VAT Returns, CIS Returns, and RCT Returns.
