Job Description

Our organisation is seeking skilled Quantity Surveyors at all levels of experience to work on projects in Galway.

Candidates will be required to demonstrate capability and experience in dealing with challenging projects, including:

  • Advising and reporting regularly to Commercial Manager
  • Providing commercial and QS support & Advising on appointing project staff (commercial)
  • Negotiating and agreeing subcontractors
  • Ensuring final accounts are closed in a timely manner

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Identifying contract grounds for claim
  • Assisting project cash management
  • Supporting with project correspondence

Requirements include:

  • Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management
  • 2+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role on construction projects
  • Ability to work on large scale, high headcount construction sites & sub-contractors experience .
  • Liaising with Commercial Manager and Contracts Manager when dealing with internal stakeholders and client's representatives while on site including attendance at meetings
  • Strong time management skills

The ideal candidate will have fluency in English and eligibility to work in Ireland.
The job will involve working on-site and interacting with various stakeholders, therefore strong communication skills are essential.
