Job Description

Quantity Surveyor Position

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost management, with experience in preparing tender and contract documentation. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the change control process, liaising with clients and design teams, and appointing and managing subcontractors and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Management: Responsible for all aspects of cost management on the project.
  • Tender and Contract Documentation: Preparing tender and contract documentation.
  • Payment Certificates: Preparing payment certificates in accordance with company systems and procedures.
  • Change Control Process: Management of the change control process.
  • Liaison: Liaising with client and design team.
  • Subcontractors and Suppliers: Appointing and managing subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Cost Analysis: Undertaking cost analysis of subcontractor packages.
  • Risk and Value Management: Performing risk, value management and cost control.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree Qualified: Degree qualified.
  • Experience: At least 3+ years' post graduate QS experience.
  • Valuations and Variation Management: Experience in preparing valuations, variation management, CVR reporting, payment certificates.
  • Apartment Developments: Experience in apartment developments would be preferred but not essential.
  • Reporting to Commercial Manager: Reporting to commercial manager.
