Remote Emergency Nurse Advisor

This is a fantastic chance for experienced nurses with a passion for emergency medicine to work as part of an innovative initiative.
Responsibilities:- Perform remote initial assessments of patients admitted to the remote monitoring unit using digital health platforms, telehealth protocols, and contactless vital signs monitoring.
- Identify suitable care plans from the platform and adapt them to individual patient needs.
- Monitor patients' conditions via contactless vital signs app and video consultations with patients as prescribed by the ED consultant or ARNP who have clinical accountability for the monitored patients.
- Escalate changes in patient condition to ARNP/ED Consultant in a timely manner in line with clinical governance protocols.
- Document clinical decisions in accordance with regulatory and international standards.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary virtual care team (ED consultants, ANPs, admin) to ensure safe and efficient patient flow.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement, audit, and service innovation.
Requirements:
- Registered General Nurse (NMBI) with a minimum of 3 years post-registration experience.
- Eligible to work in Ireland.
- ED or acute care background essential (ED, MAU, urgent care settings).
- Demonstrated experience in telecare or remote nursing roles (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Familiarity with digital tools for documentation, remote monitoring, or video triage.
- Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and independent decision-making skills.
- Experience using Manchester Triage System or equivalent tools (desirable).
