Job Title: Sustainability Risk SpecialistJob Summary:

We are seeking a Sustainability Risk Specialist to lead the development and implementation of strategies and programs for minimizing environmental, health, and safety risks. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and implementing the strategic approach for minimizing risk to employees, operations, and the environment.

  • Develop and implement global sustainability risk management strategies, including audit planning, coordination, oversight, and support of audit teams, leading audit meetings, resolving issues, and preparing and issuing audit reports.
  • Manage global sustainability risk data within our management system, generating metrics, trending data, reporting for global, site, and senior management, benchmarking data for external industry bodies.
  • Oversee all aspects of the sustainability auditing program, including audits, peer reviews, hazardous waste vendor audits, and third-party EHS data assurance assessments.
  • Conduct program assessments to ensure regulatory and internal compliance, consistency of program implementation.
  • Develop training courses to enhance understanding of sustainability requirements across the enterprise.
  • Develop best-in-class sustainability audit practices, framework, approach, policies, and enhance sustainability compliance through collaboration with colleagues and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
  • Scope of position has regional reach, represents company with external organizations, prepares or contributes to reports for regulatory agencies, and minimizes company liability related to environmental impacts.
  • Ability to successfully manage projects and programs according to schedule and within approved operational budget.
  • Ability to define scope and magnitude of problem, provide rapid and detailed assessment, coordinate response, present short- and long-term options, and develop procedures to minimize likelihood of re-occurrence.
