Job Description

The primary objective of this position is to oversee the construction process and ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with the Employer's Representative's Requirements.

This entails supervising civil/structural related construction works on site, reviewing method statements and contractor's engineering proposals, and monitoring compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and administer all civil/structural related construction works on site.
  • Review and implement instructions from the Employers Representative (ER), Design Team, Client and Local Authority.
  • Monitor and report on works being carried out to meet employer's requirements.
  • Assist the Employer's Representative in technical and contractual matters.
  • Prepare regular site progress reports in conjunction with other site resident staff.
  • Monitor contractor's works for compliance with safety regulations.
  • Review method statements and contractor's engineering proposals to ensure compliance with works requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive records/diary of work in progress and report on same.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience on site, supervising large infrastructure works.
  • Experience with Bridges.
  • Experience in assisting in administering contracts.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Good knowledge and awareness of H&S legislation and regulations.
  • Hold current Safe Pass and other relevant Safety in Construction qualifications.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written & verbal) and team working.
  • Ability to define problem issues, collect data, establish, and report on facts, draw valid conclusions and make recommendations.
  • IT skills and familiarity with relevant computer applications.
  • Demonstrated 'can do' attitude.
